The Pre-Experience Master in Finance & Economics is a premium program run by Fundação Getulio Vargas through its Sao Paulo School of Economics, at its main site in Sao Paulo. Since the course was launched nearly 20 years ago, more than 1,600 talented young people have completed it. It is FGV’s only pre experience master’s in economics and finance.

As well as being able to choose an area to focus on that will add most value to their career, with an innovative teaching approach that aligns the construction of knowledge with practical experiences, students can customize their graduate studies by taking courses in our different areas of focus, alongside our Professional Master’s program. Students may also go on an international exchange at one of our partner universities across the world.
The main objective of the course is to train talented young people to work in different markets, based on a strategic vision, a solid education and the ability to think of innovative solutions that will boost Brazil’s socioeconomic development.
The selection process for the Professional Master’s course involves an interview. Students who obtain an overall average grade of 8.0 or more in the course are entitled to a 30% discount in the fees.

The course is scheduled to last 18 months, with 435 hours of classes in all.
When students complete FGV EESP’s Pre-Experience Master in Finance and Economics, they obtain a master’s diploma, emphasizing their chosen area of focus, permitting them to teach classes at universities.
The classes take place in in-person format, twice a week, from 7:30 pm to 10:50 pm.
The in-depth and leveling subjects are taught take place in live format.
