    ABOUT THE COURSE

    • The Professional Master’s in Economics focusing on Finance is a master’s course authorized by the Brazilian Education Ministry’s graduate education support agency. It is part of the Professional Master’s in Economics Program run by the Fundação Getulio Vargas Sao Paulo School of Economics (FGV EESP). The course is designed to give economics and finance professionals a solid background in economic and financial theory, to analyze current issues in the national and international financial markets, forms of business organization and economic policy. The approach to theoretical subjects is rigorous. It concentrates on studying the conceptual foundations needed to properly understand the problems that students will face in their professional life.

      Specific mandatory subjects in this area of focus: Corporate Finance, International Finance, and Investment

  • COURSE STRUCTURE

    COURSE STRUCTURE

    • The course is composed of 10 (ten) subjects plus Thesis Seminars. The areas of focus are made up of:

      • five (5) shared mandatory subjects (Mathematics, Macroeconomics, Statistics, Microeconomics and Econometrics);
      • three (3) specific mandatory subjects in the area of focus selected by the student;
      • two (2) elective subjects, which may be from the chosen area of focus or another one, or even a specific mandatory subject from an area of focus not chosen by the student.
