    THE COURSE

    • The Post-Experience Master’s in Finance and Economics (MPE) are Fundação Getulio Vargas’ Sao Paulo School of Economics has been given the maximum possible score by the Brazilian Education Ministry’s graduate education support agency, CAPES, since 2007. 

      It is designed for professionals seeking to acquire and/or enhance analytical and quantitative tools, without abandoning their activities in the market in which they work.

      The course also paves the way for the development of new careers (such as university professor) or an academic or professional doctorate.

    OBJECTIVE OF COURSE

    • To provide a solid analytical and quantitative background in areas of focus related to economics or finance for market professionals. The approach to theoretical topics is rigorous and it concentrates on studying the conceptual foundations needed to understand, discuss and solve problems that professionals face in their respective areas of activity.

       

      Thus, the course meets the current and future needs of these professionals in the labor market, in terms of both study and contact with professors who are experienced in academia and the professional market.

      FGV undergraduate alumni are entitled to a 20% discount in the fees, while FGV EESP master’s students who obtained an overall average grade of 8.0 or more are entitled to a 30% discount.

       

ABOUT THE COURSE

Target Audience

The course is intended for professionals in the private or public sector who wish to enhance their analytical and quantitative capabilities, without necessarily pursuing an academic career.

Flexible curriculum with a vast array of elective subjects, structured in four regular quarters and two concentrated teaching periods, allowing students to choose the schedule that best fits their routine.

Academic Trajectory

Opportunity to take FGV EESP’s Professional Doctorate in Economics after completing the master’s, using all credits.

Schedule

Two classes per week, between 7:30 pm and 10:50 pm, in regular quarters; and daily classes between 9:00 pm and 12:20 pm, and between 7:30 pm and 10:50 pm, in the intensive periods (January and July).
